It is easy to use and file transfer is fast. What a wonderful way to back up all of the important data on the PC. It is easy to carry around.
This is a replacement external hard drive so I have used this type of device previously and have a routine for backing up my computers with an external hard drive. Cavalry Storage CAUM Series 1 TB USB External Hard Drive (Black) CAUM3701T0-B. My Cavalry external hard drive has been in service now for several months. It has worked without problem and with great ease. I recommend this product as it is great value for the money.
The power would come on, I'd hear the disk spin then it would stop. Two of the three Cavalry 1 TB USB External Hard Drives I bought in December 2008 stopped working. One failed Feburary 2009 and the other March 2009. I lost my very important data. I didn't return them because I didn't want the company to have access to my personal data.
It works great and you do not really realize how much a terabyte is untill you save all your movies and games that completely filled up your computer and see that the drive is only a tiny fraction filled.
Great drive: light, attractive, noiseless, small footprint, no heat generated. Simple to hookup and use. I've had it six months now, and I am now buying another one to accompany it.
